Made In China
InfoGraphics
This infographic explores the similarities and distinctions between traditional garments from East Asia: the Korean Hanbok, Japanese Kimono, and two styles of Chinese Hanfu. These clothing traditions are historically and culturally interconnected, and the poster aims to present their structure, features, and relationships in a clear and accessible way.
During the design process, I experimented with various layout approaches — including chronological timelines and comparative charts — but found that a linear timeline didn’t effectively capture the nuanced differences, especially with the inclusion of two types of Hanfu. After testing multiple arrangements, I developed a layout that balances clarity with detail, allowing viewers to easily compare the garments while understanding their individual contexts. I’m pleased with how the final composition communicates both information and visual harmony.
